The Congressional oversight panel has released a set of roughly 70 photographs obtained from the property of deceased convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

This constitutes the third publication from a cache of in excess of 95,000 photographs the body has obtained from Epstein's property. It includes images of quotes from the literary work Lolita scrawled across a female's body, and redacted photos of women's foreign passports.

This action comes mere hours before the 19th of December deadline for the Justice Department to make public each documents associated with its investigation into Epstein.

"These photographs pose more queries about what exactly the Justice Department has in its possession," said the senior Democrat of the committee, Robert Garcia.

What is in the Photos Made Public

A number of the photographs made public on recently depict Epstein in discussion with academic and activist Noam Chomsky on a private plane; Bill Gates seen next to a female whose face is redacted; Steve Bannon positioned at a table facing Epstein, and ex- Alphabet president Sergey Brin at a evening meal.

These are the newest high-net-worth, powerful figures to be pictured in Epstein property photographs disclosed by the oversight panel - formerly published pictures also show US President Donald Trump and former president Bill Clinton, as well as film director Woody Allen, previous US treasury secretary Larry Summers, lawyer Alan Dershowitz, Andrew Mountbatton-Windsor, and other figures.

Being pictured in the photos is is not considered indication of any wrongdoing, and many of the pictured figures have stated they were not participating in Epstein's criminal activity.

In a press release released with the photograph publication, Democrats on the US House Oversight Committee stated the Epstein estate did not supply background information or timings for the photographs.

"Photographs were selected to furnish the general populace with openness into a typical cross-section of the images acquired from the estate, and to provide understanding into Epstein's circle and his exceptionally disturbing behavior," the statement reads.

The disclosure also includes several photographs of quotes from the Vladimir Nabokov book Lolita written in dark ink across several locations of a woman's body, like her upper body, lower extremity, hipbone, and spine. Lolita narrates the story of a adolescent who was manipulated by a adult literature professor.

A particular excerpt from the book scrawled across a female's upper body states, "Lo-lee-ta: the point of the tongue traveling of three steps down the palate to alight, at three, on the teeth".

The release also contains a series of photographs of women's travel documents and identification documents from countries around the world, such as Lithuania, Russia, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine.

Most of the information on the documents, including names and DOBs, is redacted but the committee said in a statement that the travel documents are associated with "individuals whom Jeffrey Epstein and his co-conspirators were engaging".

A further photo depicts Epstein seated at a desk in close proximity in the company of three women whose identities have been redacted - a first has her hand on Epstein's torso under his garment, and a second is bending to view a adjacent computer. Epstein can be seen to be assisting the final person attach a bracelet.

An additional photo released is a capture of digital messages from an unnamed sender who says they have been supplied "a number of girls" and are requesting "$1000 for each individual".

Photo Release Comes Prior to DOJ Due Date

The body has a vast number of photographs in its holdings from the Epstein property, which are "at once explicit and ordinary," its announcement on this week clarified.

The House Oversight Committee first legally compelled the estate of Epstein, who died in a New York prison in 2019 while pending legal proceedings on allegations of human trafficking, in August.

The photographs and documents the Epstein estate provided to the panel are distinct from what is largely termed "the Epstein documents". That material are records in the Department of Justice's possession related to its separate investigation into Epstein.

In accordance with the recently passed law, which President Trump made law last month, the DOJ has until 19 December to disclose its files. The full nature of what's contained in the DOJ's files is unknown, and it's probable that a significant portion of the material will be significantly censored, similar to the committee's documents
